Entrepreneurship

This course introduces students to the rewards and risks of owning or operating a business enterprise. Emphasis is placed on the mastery of skills needed to plan, organize, manage, and finance a business. Skills in communication, technical writing, mathematics, research, and problem solving are reinforced as each student prepares his/her own business plan. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include cooperative education and work credit opportunities. Simulations, projects, teamwork, DECA leadership activities, meetings, conferences, and competitions provide opportunities for application of instructional competencies
